Kim has worked in the hair industry since 1999. Starting off as a receptionist in a hair salon solidified her decision to be a hairstylist. Heading to Arthur Angelo School of Cosmetology in 2001, at the age of 18, was where her journey began. Graduating in October 2002, she began working full-time the very next day. Kim's favorite aspect of her career is making people feel good inside and out and having them enjoy their guest experience.
"If I can finish my day knowing I made someone not only look better, but feel better, my day is complete. Getting them to get a good laugh in is an added bonus. I know how hard life can be and I can help them through that in any way, I want to be there for them. A 'hairapist' is a real thing!"
Mentoring and empowering her employees is also something that Kim is truly passionate about. "Teamwork really does make the dream work."
Behind the chair, Kim loves creating dimensional hair color, working with reds, upstyling, and a good makeover haircut.
Education is also something her and co-owner, Kelly, vowed to maintain and thrive on from the day Affinity opened its doors in 2009. As young stylists beginning their journey, they were never encouraged with further learning, but they have definitely made up for it since. Multiple classes a year keep even a seasoned stylist motivated and passionate.
In Kim's spare time, she loves to be at her home in the mountains of Vermont, sipping an IPA or going for a hike, vacationing, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing with her shih tzu, Oliver, and longtime boyfriend, Jon.

Kelly has worked in the beauty industry since 2001, when she attended Arthur Angelo School of Cosmetology. After graduating in 2002, she began her career and started mastering cutting, coloring, styling hair, and special event makeup. Kelly has a passion for continued education and takes many classes every year to enhance her skills for her craft.
"Continued education is very important to me and to our salon. It not only helps me grow on a business and technical level, but it also inspires me to be the best that I can be for my clients."
When Kelly isn't behind the chair or working on the business, she enjoys spending time at the gym, hanging out at home with her husband, Nathan, and their two dogs, Jack and Luna.

Co-Owner, Level 4 stylist, and Makeup Artist
Lisa joined the Affinity Salon team in the fall of 2014 as a receptionist. Working in the salon environment was so inspiring to her that she decided to enroll in the cosmetology program at Rob Roy Academy. During her education, Lisa also began to apprentice under salon owners, Kelly and Kim. After her graduation in March of 2017, she began to work full-time at Affinity as a hairstylist. Lisa is great at connecting with clients and working with them to achieve their hair goals. Continuing education keeps her motivated and on a steady path of growth.
When Lisa is not in the salon, she enjoys exercising and spending time with her son, Dylan, especially being his number one sports fan and showing her support at all of his sporting events!
Level 2 stylist
Kait joined the Affinity team just before graduating from Rob Roy Academy in 2017. Kait's desire to be a hairstylist started at a young age but only became a reality later on in her life's journey. Upon graduating, she began at Affinity Salon as a receptionist and then quickly transitioned into an apprenticeship under salon owners, Kelly and Kim. Through dedication and continuing education, she became a Level 1 stylist, and has since become a full-time Level 2 stylist. Behind the chair, she loves creating seamless colors, foil, and balayage highlighting, as well as using her natural talents with formal styles.
When Kait is not working in the salon, she enjoys the outdoors, hiking, snowboarding, walks on the beach with her dogs, and riding ATVs with her husband and friends.
Level 2 stylist
Before joining the Affinity team in September of 2019, Katie had been working in retail management since 2000. She loves interacting with clientele, helping them with their needs, and providing excellent clientele service.
Katie and her husband, Joe, have a young son, Henry, and two black Labrador retrievers, Emma and Sookie. When she is not working, they all keep her very busy!
